Quilt requirements:
- 100% Cotton fabric
- Sizes: 50x70
- 36x48
- Colors: primarily red, white and blue
- NO juvenile prints
- Be careful with glitter fabrics
- Nothing depressing, ie, black
- Use a 2.0 stitch length for piecing
Backing requirements:
- Backing must be 10 inches longer and 10 inches wider than the quilt top
- For backs that need to be pieced, use a 1/2 inch seam allowances and press open the seams
- Third item
- Be sure to remove selvage edges from the seams
- Before giving quilt top to longarmer:
- Sew a basting line 1/8” from edge of top to prevent seams from popping open
- Press top
- Cut threads poking out between seams
- Lint roll to remove all threads and pet hair
- Fold the top right-side-out to keep seams from raveling
