THE CONSTITUTION OF SEW AND SEWS FOR VETERANS

Article I – Name

The name of this organization shall be Sew and Sews for Veterans.

Article II – Purpose

The purpose of Sew and Sews for Veterans shall be to provide quilted comfort to all our local veterans through our labors of love, one stitch at a time.

Article III – Membership and Dues

1. Membership is open to all persons who are interested in sewing quilts and distributing them to our local veterans.
2. Dues shall be paid to the treasurer and are renewable in May of each year.

Article IV – Officers

Officers of this organization shall consist of the chairperson, secretary, and treasurer.

Article V – Meetings

Meetings shall be held at 10am on the third Monday of each month, with the exception of July.

Article VI – Voting

The chairperson shall decide if a motion will be brought up for a vote. Each member present will have one vote. A simple majority of voting members shall cause the motion to pass.

Article VII – Amendments to this Constitution

Amendments to the Constitution may be proposed by any member of this organization. Each member present shall have one vote, and the amendment will be passed by a 2/3 majority of voting members.

1. All members hearby authorize this organization to edit, change, copy, and make any use of all photographs/images of themselves to be used for promotional materials. Proposed and passed, June 16,2025.
